Florida School Secures Campus with COPsync911
The Texas-based company allows faculty and staff to immediately and silently alert law enforcement whenever threatening situations arise.
Northside Christian School in Florida has adopted a real-time threat-alert system in an effort to better protect its 700 students on a single campus.
With the COPsync911 installed, the school’s faculty and staff can easily activate the system on their computer or mobile device whenever a threatening situation arises. Once activated, the system sends an immediate and silent alert to all other employees, the local law enforcement dispatch center, closest patrol cars and on-duty law enforcement officers. All parties can communicate and receive updates about the incident through the Crisis Communications Portal.
“With the cutting edge technology of the COPsync911 threat-alert system, we can be connected to law enforcement immediately should the need arise,” said Don James, head of the school, in a prepared statement.
COPsync911 currently protects more than 1,000 locations across 9 states. In addition to schools, facilities using the system include hospitals, banks and municipal buildings.
Further information about the system is available on the COPsync911 site.
