LearnLaunch Breakthrough Program Accepting Applications
The LearnLaunch Accelerator for ed-tech startup companies is now open to applications for its second Breakthrough Program.
The
Breakthrough Program is one of two LearnLaunch Accelerator programs
designed to support education technology startup companies. The Boost
Program helps guide companies through the initial product design and
market entry phases, while the Breakthrough Program is designed for
companies that have already entered the market and begun bringing in
revenue but need help developing and implementing strategies to promote
growth. Additionally, the Breakthrough Program can help those
pre-series A and international companies access "strategic partners and
financing entities," according to information from LearnLaunch.
The
deadline for applications to the Breakthrough Program is September 15,
2016, after which time LearnLaunch Accelerator will select six
companies to participate. The pre-accelerator phase of the program runs
from November 28 to December 16, 2016, when participating startup
companies will begin meeting LearnLaunch mentors and partners and
create a personalized four-week plan. The on-site accelerator phase of
the program runs from January 9 to February 3, 2016, when participants
will meet regularly with mentors and their lead LearnLaunch partner to
meet their milestones. The program concludes with presentations at the
LearnLaunch Conference in February.
Participating companies can
receive up to $120,000 in investment: a $50,000 convertible note at the
start of program, and an additional $70,000 convertible note if the
startup achieves its milestones. Participating companies will also gain
access to more than 120 LearnLaunch mentors from the Boston area.
Further information about the Breakthrough Program can be found on the LearnLaunch Accelerator site.
