McGraw-Hill Updates Wonders ELA Suite
McGraw-Hill Education has redesigned and expanded its Wonders suite of English language arts programs for the 2016-2017 school year.
The Wonders 2017 suite includes four programs:
- Wonders is a core English language arts (ELA) program for kindergarten to grade 6;
- Wonders for English Learners is an English language development (ELD) program for English language learners;
- Maravillas is a Spanish language arts program designed for parallel, dual-immersion instruction; and
- WonderWorks is a fully connected intervention support program.
According
to information from the company, all of the features of the Wonders
core ELA program are reflected in Wonders for English Learners and
Maravillas. The company designed the programs to function in parallel,
with the goal of "ensuring that all students have equity of access to
the same core content and subject-area knowledge."
Wonders 2017
introduces a new dashboard feature for teachers and administrators.
Teachers can use the dashboard to access student data instantly and
view real-time recommendations for grouping students, reteaching and
differentiating instruction. Administrators can use it to track
progress on individual skills and standards at the student, class or
school level.
Wonders 2017 also includes a variety of print and
digital resources, as well as Inquiry Space, a tool designed to help
students in grades 3 to 6 "learn and practice researching, developing
ideas, writing, and presenting finished work to their peers."
Wonders 2017 is available now. Further information can be found on McGraw-Hill Education's Wonders site.
