Learning Counsel Releases Digital Survey and Assessment Tool
The Learning Counsel has released its 2016 Digital Curriculum Strategy Survey and Assessment Tool. The free assessment, available at thelearningcounsel.com, is designed to help educators understand where their school or district stands in terms of digital transition.
The Learning Counsel survey tool was created to assist executives and curriculum and technology directors to assess readiness for greater transition to digital curricula and content, according to a news release.
“Every district and school executive, curriculum director or innovations specialist we met, no matter which city we were in, were running into similar frustrations, funding barriers and PD problems,” said LeiLani Cauthen, CEO and publisher of the Learning Counsel, in a prepared statement. “Our friends — all the executives and instructors in education who we meet on the road — ask us pointed questions about strategy and tactics, which companies to look at and best tools to use…. The survey was created for them.”
Ten schools will be chosen from the results of the survey and will be awarded based on their strategy, development and execution along any point of the digital transition continuum. These winning schools will be invited to join the Learning Counsel at the Gathering and National Awards Event ceremony in Orlando, FL, on Nov. 14 and 15. Invited participants include senior education leaders, particularly curriculum and technology executives or teams.
The Learning Counsel is a Fair Oaks, CA-based research institute and intermediary between K–12 schools, curriculum publishers and high tech companies. The counsel provides perspective and organization tools on the transition to digital for school systems across the country. For more information, visit thelearningcounsel.com.
