KidPass Launches New Platform in NYC to Help Parents

KidPass, a New York-based website and activity booking service, has launched a new platform — the first subscription service featuring an extensive and comprehensive directory of kids’ classes in New York City, available now to parents in all five boroughs of the city. KidPass plans to expand to five additional cities soon, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Washington, D.C. and Chicago.

KidPass enables users to discover thousands of activities for kids of all ages and instantly book a class with a few clicks. Parents don’t have to rely solely on word-of-mouth recommendations and can avoid the inconvenience of in-person registration, waitlists, semester-long commitments and scheduling makeup classes.

KidPass’ partner network spans a variety of categories, including sports, dance, art, play spaces, date-night drop-offs, STEM, music, museums and more. Over 400 providers are part of the network, including Gymboree, Kidville, NY Kids Club, Music Together, 14th Street Y, Chocolate Works, City Treehouse, Physique Swimming and TLB Music

Since its January beta release, KidPass has become one of the fastest growing websites for kids’ activities in New York. Its customer base has grown more than 10 times and over 1,000 parents have booked more than 15,000 activities through the website to date, according to a news release.

The company’s founders are tech veterans Aaron Kaufman, Chhay Chhun, Olivia Ballvé and Solomon Liou. They hatched the idea from their own needs as parents.

“While technology has made it easy to instantly book taxis, restaurants and dates, the process of finding kids’ activities is still very difficult and mostly done through word of mouth,” said CEO and co-founder Liou in a prepared statement. “KidPass makes it simple to discover and book amazing kids’ activities with the touch of a button.”

KidPass subscriptions start at $49 per month. To celebrate their launch and the new school year, KidPass is offering parents the opportunity to try the platform for just $19 per month for the first month with the code KIDPASS19. The offer expires Sept. 30.
