Grant Program Reduces Cost of Classroom Management

An education technology company that produces an application for filtering and managing computing devices in the classroom has a new in-kind grant program available. Impero Software's flagship program, Impero Education Pro, handles classroom device management, network management and internet safety on Windows, macOS, iOS and Chrome OS. Impero announced that it will be giving $2.5 million worth of discounts available between now and the end of the year — or until the funding runs out, whichever comes first.

To apply, districts or schools need to fill out a form on the Impero website and include a 50-word message explaining how they'd benefit from the funding. The grants are to be used for Impero software licensing.

Grant sizes vary based on the number of devices in use:

  • $1,250 grants for schools or districts with a minimum of 250 devices;
  • $3,750 for schools or districts with a minimum of 1,000 devices;
  • $12,500 for schools or districts with a minimum of 5,000 devices; and
  • $25,000 for schools or districts with a minimum of 10,000 devices.

The company claims 10 million users worldwide. In the United States customers have included Stephenville Independent School District in Texas, Eureka Springs Schools in Arkansas and Glassboro Public Schools in New Jersey.

The grant form is on the Impero website here.
