OER Provider Curriki Sounds Call for Spanish Content

Curriki, an online platform of K–12 open educational resources (OER) used by 13 million users worldwide, wants to expand its collection of 629 free educational resources in Spanish and earlier this week opened a call for Spanish-language teaching materials.

“We believe that offering Spanish-language curricula is a significant first step toward providing teachers, schools and parents with the support they need to reach every child, and for students to access resources in their native language,” wrote Kim Jone, Curriki CEO, in the announcement.

Curriki’s free library of high-quality OER materials spans language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and history, and more subjects for K–12. Anyone is welcome to submit lesson plans, units, assessments, instructional videos, games, etc. The nonprofit organization is also looking for assistance in translating its more than 256,000 teaching and learning resources from English to Spanish.
