OpenEd Reveals New Science, Spanish, ELL Resources

OpenEd, an online library of standards-aligned educational assessments, homework and more resources for K–12 teachers, will be showcasing its platform and brand new learning resources next week (June 25-28) at the ISTE (International Society for Education in Technology) conference in San Antonio, TX.

In addition to serving up free and low-cost education content, OpenEd’s platform offers formative assessments and item banks that align to Common Core and other state standards. The company, which was acquired by ACT last year, uses an open API (application programming interface) that can be embedded inside any ed tech product, including GoogleMicrosoft Education, Renaissance Learning, Canvas, Schoology and Chalkable. More than 500,000 classrooms are currently using OpenEd’s resources.

At the conference, OpenEd will be debuting all-new content, including more resources aligned to Next Generation Science Standards and more Spanish and English Language Learning resources, the company told THE Journal. They have also added new assessments for students with special needs.

OpenEd will be exhibiting in booth 1762 at ISTE. THE Journal will be exhibiting in booth 754.
