ClassTag Updates Communication App to Reach Parents Offline
Free parent engagement app ClassTag has added integrated printing in an effort to communicate with parents wherever they happen to be.
ClassTag is a multichannel communication suite that allows teachers and administrators to reach parents via the Web, mobile apps, SMS messages and, now, printed messages. If a student's family is not reached via digital channels, ClassTag's assistant will now recommend printing out class announcements, schedules and reminders to be sent home with the student.
"My main challenge is to reach all parents and get them to respond," said Danielle Fugazzi, a kindergarten teacher, in a prepared statement. "Too often teachers engage the same families over and over, but those that need this connection the most seem to be missing out. ClassTag understood the very heart of the issue and is giving me the opportunity to confidently reach all families and print out the personalized newsletters and announcements for parents who aren't online or who don't regularly read their emails."
The company also plans to release a translation feature this summer to facilitate communication between English and Spanish speakers.
Visit classtag.com for more information or visit the company at this week's ISTE 2017 conference in booth 664.
