Renaissance, Classworks Partner on Personalized Learning Pathways

Renaissance and Classworks are expanding a partnership in an effort to improve access to actionable data for educators.

Renaissance offers Star 360, a formative and interim assessment tool designed to help teachers see what students have mastered, what goals they should be striving for and the best pathways for reaching them.

Classworks offers instruction and assessment in reading, language arts and math for students in grades K-8.

Owing to the partnership, the results of students' assessments in Renaissance Star 360 will automatically generate learning pathways using Classworks instruction in an effort to free up teacher time for instruction, progress monitoring and further personalization.

"Our district uses Renaissance Star 360 assessments to evaluate skill levels, monitor student progress, and guide and adjust our instructional plans," said Carol Artis, executive director of curriculum & instruction and federal programs for Wayne County Schools, in a prepared statement. "We currently use Classworks in our elementary schools and several middle schools as Tier I and Tier 2 MTSS instruction, providing individualized instruction for each student based on Star assessment results. The Renaissance Growth Alliance partnership means students' Star assessment results will automatically place and drive Classworks instruction based on what our students know and what they're ready to learn. We look forward to seeing continued improvement in learning outcomes and student growth with these powerful assessment and instructional solutions working closely together."

The two companies first partnered in 2015 when they teamed in an effort to reduce the testing burden in classrooms.
