HP Debuts New Ruggedized Notebook for Classroom Use

The HP Stream 11 Pro G4 Education Edition notebook features a rugged design with co-molded rubber and a unique impact-dispersion pattern designed to protect the hinges along with a spill-resistant keyboard and an optional "always-on" case.

HP has launched a new notebook designed specifically for use in the classroom.

The HP Stream 11 Pro G4 Education Edition notebook features a rugged design with co-molded rubber and a unique impact-dispersion pattern designed to protect the hinges along with a spill-resistant keyboard and an optional "always-on" case.

Additional features of the 18-millimeter-thick notebook include:

  • A hinge with 180-degree flexibility for easy viewing when sitting at individual desks or for laying flat for collaboration between students;
  • An 11.6-inch diagonal touchscreen with the option to upgrade to an IPS touchscreen;
  • 2x2 802.11 AC WLAN;
  • The choice between Windows 10 Pro or 10 S;
  • HP School Pack 2.5 preinstalled with tools for differentiating instruction and classroom organization;
  • Intel Celeron Dual Core and Quad Core processors;
  • Up to 11 hours of battery life; and
  • 64 gigabytes of storage with the option to upgrade to 128.
