New York School Taps Private Partner for Temporary STEAM Museum

Warren Street Elementary School recently hosted a temporary STEAM museum in its gymnasium.

The school, which serves students in grades 4-6, partnered with Mobile Ed, which brought its STEAM Museum to the school last week. Mobile Ed's STEAM Museum is a school assembly service that allows institutions to host 40-minute sessions with 60 students each moving through a range of activities and workstations. Students at Warren Street had the opportunity to see a 3D printer at work, build a Roman arch, power a lightbulb by pedaling a bike, program robots and more.

"Special thanks to the Connelie family, JEPTA,  Benjamin Moore and all the parent volunteers for making this unique opportunity possible for our students," said Nikki Lent, Warren Street principal, according to a local report about the event. "Our students were super excited and engaged during this experience, all while working on their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills."
