Impero Launches App to Enhance Public Safety Communications
Impero Software is expanding the reach of its public safety offerings to a new app that gives teachers and staff the ability to record and report concerns about student safety on the go. The app is an extension of Impero’s EdAware software that gives school staff resources to manage student behavior concerns and provides information around school safety legislation and student privacy regulations.
EdAware enables schools to create a profile for each student with a record of students' health, wellness and safety data. Using Impero's EdProtect platform, school staff can also be alerted when a student has a history of internet searches that could indicate possible suicidal ideation. Both platforms can be integrated with a school's student information system.
"Student safety concerns don’t always arise when school staff members are next to their computers. They can come to light on the playground, in the lunch room or in a hallway after class," said Impero CEO Justin Reilly. "Our EdAware app provides a convenient way for school staff to quickly log their concerns using their mobile device. They can also access prior information about students so they can determine whether to intervene."
The EdAware app is now available for download on Apple and Android devices.
