Amazon Launches Storefront for Educational Resources
Amazon wants to help educators create and sell their educational resources online. Through Amazon Ignite, teachers can upload materials, set prices and publish their own activities, workbooks, lesson plans and assignments.
Teachers and parents are able to search for materials by grade level, topic, resource type or theme in a dedicated storefront on Amazon.com. Each product will have verified reviews and tailored recommendations that are similar to other items sold on Amazon.
Educators can join Amazon Ignite for free and earn a 70 percent loyalty on all products sold. Each resource submitted will be reviewed by Amazon and posted on the storefront within two business days.
Amazon Ignite is currently an invitation-only service. Educators can request access on Amazon's website.
