Free Thursday Online Event Features 3D Printing in Education

is hosting a free virtual summit on 3D printing and other STEM topics
in education this Thursday, Jun. 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern
time. "Innovating
for Tomorrow"
will feature educators and students taking the online stage to show
how the technology has changed their learning.
Panels
and presentations include:

the Future Women Leaders," in which Jackie Blizzard, Director
of Curriculum at Girls
Who Code,
and Andrea Zermeño, Education Lead at MakerBot, will discuss
empowering young women with the skills they need to become leaders
and the role STEM plays in their success.

Workshop: When STEM Becomes STEAM," to provide teachers with
"everything they need to know to get started with 3D printing
with their students," from the use of Tinkercad
to how designs evolve into 3D-printed objects.

"Shifting
from Knick-Knacks to Cross-Curricular Projects with 3D Printing,"
with Calvert
Catholic Schools
Director of Technology, Kevin Rinaman, helping attendees learn how
to link curriculum to 3D printing and teach students creative
thinking using the technology.
