Specialized Education Services Continues Expansion with Acquisition of Lattice

Specialized Education Services, Inc. has acquired Lattice Educational Services, a California Department of Education nonpublic school program in Sonoma County providing individualized learning opportunities and resources to students with developmental disabilities, according to a news release.

The acquisition expands SESI’s special educational offerings and is SESI’s ninth program in California; SESI now operates nearly 100 such schools for students with developmental disabilities, autism, and behavioral challenges across the United States, the company said.

Lattice’s focus on students who require intensive educational services in a nonpublic setting complements SESI’s mission to serve K–12 learners with special needs, SESI said. Lattice has served students ages 5 to 22 since 1995, and will continue to provide “young people living with developmental delays and behavioral challenges to excel in life through an array of diagnostic, educational and clinical support, and case management services,” according to the announcement.
