The Federal Communications Commission has finalized rules for a $7.17 billion program that will reimburse schools for 100% of the “reasonable” cost of equipment and services to give students the access to technology they need for remote and hybrid learning.
The United States Department of Agriculture is awarding grants ranging from $50,000 to $1 million to organizations supporting distance learning and telemedicine in rural communities. The deadline for this competitive grant program is June 4.
Google.org, a philanthropic initiative of Google, is offering up to $500,000 in matching funds via DonorsChoose.org “for projects created by teachers of color as well as projects from all teachers requesting culturally responsive and antiracist resources.”
Epson will be running an online sweepstakes for Teacher Appreciation Week each day next week, May 3–7. The sweepstakes will offer a total of five high-capacity, cartridge-free all-in-one printers (the EcoTank ET-4760).
NVIDIA has entered into a three-year partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania (BGCWPA) to support the AI Pathways Institute, a program that exposes students to artificial intelligence and robotics education. The aim of the partnership, according to NVIDIA, is to expand access to the program “to more students, particularly those from underserved and underrepresented communities.”
