Macmillan has debuted an updated version of its student response system, the i>clicker2. According to the company, the current version is in use at 900 academic institutions in North America. The new version is currently in beta and is expected to roll out in the fall. MoreCanadian startup mySpark Technologies is promising a high-performance Android tablet for education later this year. MoreeInstruction, a company that specializes in student response systems, interactive whiteboards, and educational software, has released a mobile interactive input device that allows annotations to be drawn on a projected image from distances of up to 50 feet. MoreDell last week launched a slew of new technologies focused on education, including a new ruggedized netbook, an Android-based tablet, and e-reader software designed to improve the reading experience for students who use books in electronic format.
