InFocus Launches Sub-$400 Projectors

InFocus has rolled out a new series of entry-level 3D-ready projectors with a total of six models, two of them selling for less than $400.

The new projectors include the IN112, the IN114, the IN116, the IN146, the IN124, and the IN126, all DLP units with 3D support. The IN112 has a native resolution of 800 x 600 (SVGA), while the IN114 and the IN124 have native resolutions of 1,024 x 768 (XGA).  The IN116, the IN126, and the IN146 are all wide aspect units with native resolutions of 1,280 x 800 (WXGA). All of the new models offer a contrast ratio of 3,000:1.

Four of the projectors--the IN112, the IN114, the IN116, and the IN146--offer a brightness of 2,700 lumens, while the other two--the IN124 and the IN126--feature a brightness of 3,200 lumens. Estimated lamp life is 5,000 hours for the IN112, the IN114, and the IN116; 4,500 hours for the IN146; and 2,500 hours for the IN124 and the IN126.

Other features include:

  • Digital vertical keystone correction of ±30 degrees;
  • RS-232 control;
  • 2 watt speaker; and
  • Projection presets for presentation, video, bright, whiteboard, blackboard beige, wall, and user.

In addition, the IN146 is a short-throw model capable of projecting a 48-inch image from 30 inches fromt he screen and a 106-inch image from a distance of about 65 inches.

AV inputs of the IN116, the IN124, the IN126, and the IN146 include HDMI, two analog RGB/component (mini D-sub 15-pin), S-video, composite video, and a stereo minijack. AV outputs and peripherals consist of a USB mini-B port and a stereo minijack. The IN112 and IN114 have the same ports as the other units but lack the HDMI input.

All projectors are currently available and come with three warranties: a five-year limited product warranty, a six-month lamp warranty, and a 90-day accessory warranty.

The IN112 and the IN114 cost $339; the IN116 and the IN124 run $499; the IN126 costs $599; and the IN146 is $825. Further information is available at infocus.com.
