Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Debuts K-6 Common Core Reading Program

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) is debuting the newest version of its K-6 reading program, Journeys Common Core 2014, at this week's International Reading Association (IRA) conference taking place in San Antonio, TX.

Journeys Common Core 2014 includes new instruction and application in "Reading, including Foundational Skills, Writing, Speaking and Listening, and Language," according to HMH. Designed to meet Common Core State Standards, the program features reading and writing activities for individual study as well as group discussion.

The newly released program comes with a student text and a suite of digital tools including:

  • Common Core Reading Practice and Assessment App, with real-time reporting;
  • HMH Readers App, with Journeys Leveled Readers database;
  • myWriteSmart online writing tool;
  • Digital Teacher Gateway and ePlanner;
  • ePub Vocabulary in flip cards.

IRA conference attendees can meet the program authors and view demonstrations of the Journeys program as well as HMH's new Common Core Performance Packages at booth 1707.
