New Jersey Districts Implement New System To Track Student Performance
Six New Jersey school districts have adopted a new Web-based system for tracking student performance data.
The districts -- Butler Public Schools, Cherry Hill Public Schools, East Brunswick Public Schools, Franklin Township Public Schools, Freehold Regional High School District and Garfield Public Schools – have selected Performance Matters' assessment and data management system (ADMS) and SGO Module.
ADMS collects and evaluates performance data from various sources then turns that information into actionable intelligence for teachers and administrators. The system includes dashboards and reporting features. Teachers can see students' performance history as well as current progress and measure those results against data from other schools and districts within the state. The SGO Module enables the districts to create and manage Student Growth Objectives.
Butler, Cherry Hill and Garfield also plan to deploy FASTe, a system to help schools evaluate teacher performance. The system, which links student data to teacher data, can be customized to suit the districts' evaluation criteria.
