TabPilot Unveils Teacher Tools for iOS

TabPilot has launched Teacher Tools for iOS, an app that allows teachers to control student iPads through an iOS device using TabPilot mobile device management (MDM). Previously, instructors had to access the controls through the online teacher console, usually via a computer.

To use Teacher Tools, an instructor selects a class to manage and can then freeze student screens, lock students into a particular app, clear student passcodes, lock students into a Web site or a group of sites or broadcast an individual student's screen to the whole class via Airplay.

"With the launch of Teacher tools for iOS, we're showing once again how a school-specific MDM is the best choice for both teachers and school IT administrators," said Jarrett Volzer, founder and CEO of TabPilot, in a prepared statement. "With our new Teacher Tools app for iOS, the teachers can now take control in their classroom directly from their own iPad."
