Vernier Offers Free Data Collection Technology Workshops

Vernier Software & Technology will reprise its free, hands-on workshops for classroom teachers this fall to help them incorporate the company's data-collection technology into their teaching.

Vernier will offer 35 four-hour workshops at locations around the country to help educators of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) subjects.

During the four-hour workshops, Vernier training specialists will help teachers explore classroom-ready experiments using the company's technology. The sessions will focus on integrating the data-collection technology into physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science and general K-8 science classes. Content is intended to meet Next Generation Science Standards.

The sessions will be held in 35 different locations around the United States through October. The sessions began in Houston on Sept. 6 and will wrap up Oct. 25 in Lansing, MI. More detailed information is available on how to apply and workshop locations.

In addition to the training, each participant will receive a link to download a Vernier Workshop Training Manual with ready-to-use lab handouts.
