Triumph Learning Adds Customized Assessments, New Media Resources to Coach Digital

Triumph Learning has introduced an enhanced version of its Coach Digital teacher toolbox, a collection of instructional materials that teachers can use in the K-12 classroom.

For several years, Triumph has provided content searchable by book, topic or standards that includes lessons, activities and assessments. In the past, all content items could be used in teaching entire classrooms, small groups and individual students.

New features of the updated Coach Digital include:

• Videos, songs and animations that students can watch or listen to in order to reinforce what they are learning in class or for "stealth learning" when they believe viewing is just for "fun";
• When teachers identify content appropriate by grade level, subject area, topic or keyword, they can mark it as a "favorite" and return to it easily and quickly;
• Teachers can now customize assessments in a "Create a Test" section that allows them to find questions and item types by grade level, subject area and standard. Different assessments can be created for subgroups of a class or even individual students;
• "Placement tests" in math and English will help teachers discover strengths and weaknesses of a class or an individual student in a particular subject. Coach Digital will also make recommendations for assignments to guide teachers in remediation efforts determined by the assessments; and
• As teachers help students prepare for high-stakes tests, they now have a wider variety of types of questions they can use, including multiple-part, multi-select and drag-and-drop items.

A national version of Coach Digital is available for K-12 and separate versions that align with a state's standards are available for grades K-8 in New York, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Texas and Oklahoma.
