Deadline Looms for $200,000 Follett Challenge

The deadline for the 2019 Follett Challenge is this week. The program will award a total of $200,000 in products and services to 19 winners.

Entries will include a video and an explanation of how the applicant’s program engages students in the classroom or library. Winners will be determined by a combination of panel of judges and public votes for the school’s video.

Among the awards this year are:

  • 10 people's choice winners ($5,000 each);

  • 9 semi-finalists — 3 from elementary schools, 3 from middle schools and 3 from high schools ($15,000 each);

  • 1 grand prize winner selected from among the semi-finalists ($30,000 total, including the $15,000 semi-finalist prize).

Participants have until Thursday, Dec. 20 to submit their applications. Complete details and a link to registration can be found on the Follett Challenge site.
