    Jefferson Union High School District, covering an area in the south suburbs of San Francisco, has completed installation of solar energy systems at four high schools, a combined 1.5 megawatt project the district expects to provide substantial utility cost savings while producing 2.3 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy per year.

  • Math, Reading See Small Gains in Latest 12th Grade NAEP Results

    Every ethnic and gender group saw statistically significant gains in math in the 2009 national exam. In reading, the results were mixed--with some groups statistically flat and others making gains--though overall scale scores improved from 2005, and no groups declined.
