Despite the prevalence of children with learning and attention disabilities such as ADHD and dyslexia, the National Center for Learning Disabilities found that only a small subset are formally identified with disabilities in schools, leaving many of these students without necessary support to help them succeed in school. At Google I/O 2017 this week, Google revealed plans to bring augmented reality to its immersive education platform Google Expeditions. Expeditions AR will enable students to see 3D models of objects like volcanoes, DNA molecules and more up close in a virtual environment. MoreAccording to the company, the insights "will become even more refined as the platform generates a precise picture of 'what's going on' in the district." MoreThree schools across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut are adding more than 200 new online courses to their catalogs.
