  • Interactive Whiteboards: Truths and Consequences

Either way, the research isn't really there yet to tell us whether they've resulted in any kind of academic gain for students in the years they've been in use in classrooms.   • University Education Researcher Trying iPad in K-8 Classrooms

    Through a partnership with a large urban school district in Utah, a research project at the University of Cincinnati will experiment with the use of Apple iPads in K-8 classrooms. The initiative will test the use of 35 Apple iPads to collect educational research in a federally funded partnership to improve teacher quality in elementary math and science education.

  • Michigan District Ramps Up Whiteboard Training

    Michigan's Wayne-Westland Community Schools is implementing new training for its teachers on the use of interactive whiteboards in the classroom.

  • Crestron Debuts Audio Processor and Companion Amp

    Crestron has unveiled a new 7.3 surround sound audio processor along with a series of matched amplifiers for use in auditoriums, classrooms, and conference rooms. The company also debuted three new matrix switchers.

  • Kurzweil 3000 Expands Content Sources, ELL Support

    Kurzweil Educational Systems, a unit of Cambium Learning Group, has released an update to Kurzweil 3000 12 for Windows. The software, designed for grade 3 through 12 student reading and writing improvement, now includes expanded licensing options for both standalone and network usage.
