How a Texas District went Google: New Caney Helps Close the Achievement Gap with Extensive 1:1 Chromebook Program

In this webinar, you’ll hear directly from Dustin Hardin, Director of Technology at New Caney Independent School District (New Caney ISD). You’ll hear about the three year journey New Caney ISD took from not having any wireless access in their 14 campuses to starting a 1:1 program with Chromebooks. This will include a brief overview of all the milestones in the three year period (moving from a legacy email system to Gmail, automating student accounts, etc.), how the decision was made for Chromebooks, and most importantly, how they afforded the 1:1 program.

New Caney ISD is 45 minutes north of Houston, TX. The district has over 12,000 students and is one of the fasting growing districts in the Houston metro area. Learn more about why New Caney ISD decided on Chromebooks as their 1:1 device and their future plans to add Nexus tablets.
