The State of Digital Note-Taking in K-20

When K-12 schools and post-secondary institutions (primarily colleges and universities) shifted to remote operations and online learning, suddenly, every user needed a device — whether computer, tablet, Chromebook or smartphone — for work, learning and teaching.

We recently surveyed educators across K-20 to find out how that online shift affected the process of taking, maintaining and sharing notes. The results showed that while the tried-and-true paper and pen is still nearly everybody's favorite, the shift to digital formats is definitely afoot — because the benefits are really compelling.
