Perry Adopts Infinite SIS

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

3/29/2007—Perry Local Schools in Ohio has deployed Infinite Campus as its new student information system (SIS) across the district. The district--the first in Ohio to adopt Infinite Campus--went live with the new system earlier this month.

Infinite Campus manages student data through a centralized database that provides real-time information to teachers, administrators, and counselors. Authorized users can view changed data immediately without waiting for uploads or data synchronization. Parents and students can access assignment, grade, and attendance data through a Web interface.

"Our district is focused on the benefits of individualized learning and the innovative use of information to engage our stakeholders. We needed a tool set that would meet our vision," said Norma Morganti, CTO for Perry Local Schools, in a prepared statement. "The integrated, Web-based product of Infinite Campus was everything we needed in a single student management system. Our teachers have embraced this enthusiastically because of the power of the integrated instructional tools and the ability to share these resources via the Parent Portal. We have a lot of other districts in Ohio contacting us for more information and I just tell them, 'Bottom line. The technology just works.'"

Perry Local Schools serves about 1,900 students in elementary, middle and high school. The district worked with Optimal Solutions for the deployment.
