5 Schools and Districts Deploy Angel LMS

Angel Learning this week announced that five more K-12 schools and districts have signed on with its Angel LMS learning management system. While learning management systems/course management systems are typically associated with higher education, Angel said that it's seeing K-12 institutions adopting its LMS "to offer virtual classes and online professional development and to provide 21st century learning experiences with anytime, anywhere access to learning content and resources."
The five new schools and districts Angel identified as new LMS users include:
- District School Board of Collier County, Naples, FL, which serves 43,000 students in 45 schools and an additional 3,000 students in alternative and adult programs;
- Kenai Peninsula Borough School District, Kenai, AK, which serves about 10,000 students in 44 schools;
- St. John’s Lutheran School, Orange, CA, which serves preK-8 students;
- Stark-Portage Area Computer Consortium, Canton, O, which includes 29 school districts in Northeast Ohio; and
- Tempe Union High School District, Tempe, AZ, which serves more than 13,000 students in eight comprehensive high schools.
Angel said that these five are either new to LMSes entirely or are switching from other LMS/CMS tools.
