Wireless Gen Brings DIBELS to Harcourt Reading

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Harcourt School Publishers and Wireless Generation have formed a partnership to bring assessment to Harcourt's StoryTown and Trophies curricula. Through the partnership, the two will develop mCLASS:DIBELS StoryTown Edition and mCLASS:DIBELS Trophies Edition, which will use Wireless Generation's mCLASS:DIBELS assessment and reporting/analysis system to deliver formative assessments to the classroom reading instruction tools.

mCLASS:DIBELS uses a wireless handheld device to allow teachers to perform DIBELS ("Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills") assessments, recording student responses and reading behaviors on the handheld device and receiving results and instructional recommendations immediately--on the student level, as well as the group and class level.

The mCLASS:DIBELS StoryTown and mCLASS:DIBELS Trophies Editions add to this recommendations based on materials specific to those learning programs, guiding teachers to StoryTown and Trophies lessons through feedback from the mClass handheld device and the Web site.
