Knowledge Adventure Launches Web Tools for Education

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

At last week's FETC 2008 conference in Florida, education technology developer Knowledge Adventure debuted new Web utilities for teachers and students, including a collaborative development environment for building Web pages and a Web-based activity creation tool for teachers.

Knowledge Adventure Activity Builder is a Web-based service that allows teachers to generate classroom activities on the fly, including bingo boards, clock cards, definition cards, flash cards, go fish, number cards, old maid, picture cards, puzzle pieces, scrambled words, words searches, word wall cards, and others. These activities are created by selecting a word list and activity type. The software then automatically generates the activities in a printable format for distribution to students. According to KA, the program can also generate math activities, letter activities, and masters, and it supports several languages.

Activity Builder is available now starting at $50 per year per teacher. A free seven-day trial is also available.

The company also launched a tool for students called Web Chameleon, a collaborative environment for developing and publishing Web pages for projects and presentations. It includes support for a variety of media types (audio, video, still images, etc.) and also incorporates built-in visual effects for presentations, including fades, wipes, and others. The software can be used by individuals, or multiple students can engage in a single project for collaborative development.

Knowledge Adventure Web Chameleon is available now starting at $50 per student per year. Other licensing packages are also available.
