On the K-12 side, The grant program focused on improving student achievement through classroom technologies in any subject area, but with an emphasis on encouraging interest in STEM subject areas (science, technology, engineering, and math). On the higher ed side, recipients at the 39 two- and four-yer colleges and universities will receive a cash and equipment package valued at $77,000 per institution, including HP Tablet PCs and faculty cash awards. "The program aims to enhance student success as faculty members adopt technology-enhanced instruction in their classrooms."
