Districts Deploy SunGard SIS, Special Ed Management

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Five school districts announced this week that they're deploying student information systems and special education management systems from SunGard Public Sector.

Calvert County Public Schools in Maryland, South Texas Independent School District in Texas, Souderton Area School District and Bangor Area School District in Pennsylvania, and Cleveland Metropolitan School District in Ohio will all be deploying SunGard PS' eSchoolPlus student information system.

eSchoolPlus is a Web-based, Schools Interoperability Framework-complaint student information system that uses a single, district-wide database for the general student population and special education. It provides Web-based access for stakeholders, district performance dashboards, and Web-based forms for developing individual education plans (IEPs).

In addition, the Souderton and Cleveland districts will also be deploying SunGard PS' IEPPlus system, which is tailored specifically for special education management. In addition to providing support for developing IEPs, it also provides management for referrals and evaluations, student record tracking, historical record keeping, and IDEA compliance.
