Mead Moves Into Interactive Whiteboards

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

School supply company Mead is taking the plunge into education technology with the launch of a new interactive whiteboard. Dubbed, appropriately enough, the Mead Interactive Whiteboard, the new model incorporates a 77-inch interactive projection screen, multimedia pen, mounting hardware, and software suite targeted toward education.

The software suite includes Mead's Virtual Whiteboard software, as well as a clip art collection and an electronic edition of Encyclopædia Britannica. Virtual Whiteboard captures information written or drawn on the whiteboard and makes it available for retrieval later. It also provides a software toolbar for accessing common whiteboard features.

The Mead Interactive Whiteboard is available now with a 10-year warranty. Free training is included, as are free software updates for the life of the product. Optional accessories include a mobile stand, RF adapter, E-Wand, and 3M short-throw projector. Mead's whiteboard software is available for Windows only. Further information can be found on Mead's whiteboard site here.
