School Recycling Fundraising Program Expands to Laptops, Ink, iPods

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Global Re-Source Funding, a company that provides recycling fundraising programs for schools, has expanded the range of discarded technologies that it's willing to receive. Last spring the company opened up its program to used iPods; now it's added laptop computers and Epson inkjet cartridges.

Global Re-Source Funding--previously known as Rethink, Ink--hosts a program that allows schools and other organizations to raise money through recycling. Schools can turn in their discarded gear or hold contests and other events to gather discarded technologies for recycling. The company also offers contests and promotions for recycling contests that include earning MacBooks for iPods, a voucher reward program, and other fundraising promotions.

According to the company, schools earn cash for recycling equipment--iPods, mobile phones, laser toner cartridges, inkjet cartridges, and computers, among others, with awards ranging from $0.05 to $35 per item, depending on the item and its condition. There's no cost to participate, and more than 850 items are accepted through the program.

Further information about contests and promotions can be found here. Further information about the program in general can be found here.
