CDW-G Launches Tools To Assess Virtualization Needs

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Is your data center ripe for virtualization? New assessment services from CDW Government (CDW-G) have been launched to help answer just that question.

The new free tools are designed for K-12 and higher education institutions to help them determine the potential benefits of virtualization to their IT organizations, such as cost, capacity, resiliency and "green" benefits. The new tools include a Self-Guided Assessment and a Server Virtualization Assessment.

The Self-Guided Assessment provides users with a data collection tool and instructions for installation. The tool collects information about the organization's setup, which is later used to help make recommendations for a server virtualization solution. The Server Virtualization Assessment uses a CDW-G assessment team for installing the data collection tool and analyzing the data to make a recommendation.

Both the Self-Guided Assessment and the Server Virtualization Assessment are available for use now. Further information can be found here.
