Lectora is kicking off a private beta of a new cloud-based, on-demand learning management system, Lectora Express LMS.

Lectora Express LMS is a fully hosted LMS that operates on a pay-as-you-go model with a monthly fee for unlimited use. It's features include:

  • Support for UI customization and institutional branding;
  • Personalized dashboards for end users;
  • Social media tools;
  • Various reporting tools;
  • A rating system and comments; and
  • Sharing tools for optionally making materials accessible to the public.

As part of the Lectora Express LMS launch, Lectora has also released updated versions of Lectora and Lectora Online, both of which add publishing support for Lectora Express LMS.

In addition to supporting Lectora Express LMS, Lectora 11.2 adds Tin Can API 1.0 support (for data collection) and includes numerous fixes and enhancements in the areas of questions, surveys, objects, text, and publishing. (A complete list of changes can be found on Lectora's site.)

Applications for the Lectora Express LMS are now being accepted at beta.trivantis.com. Additional information about Lectora Express LMS can be found on Lectora's main site.
