Boxlight Debuts Interactive Projectors for Classrooms, Expands ProColor IFP Line

Boxlight Monday unveiled two new projector lines that are designed to create collaborative areas of the classroom. The company also expanded its ProColor Series 1 line of interactive flat panel (IFP) displays.

First, the new Cambridge line includes four, budget-friendly projectors offering bright XGA or WXGA images:

• Cambridge X33N, a standard-throw projector with 3,300 lumens of brightness and multiple inputs (including two HDMI ports, two USB ports and video and audio analog inputs);
• Cambridge WX33NST short-throw projector, with 3,300 lumens;
• Cambridge WX36N, a standard-throw projector that produces 3,600 lumens of brightness; and
• Cambridge X37NST short-throw projector with 3,700 lumens.

Next, two interactive projectors that utilize infrared pens make up the new P9 line:

• P9 WX33NST, a short-throw projector capable of creating interactive areas of up to 100 inches, enabling up to five students to work simultaneously on a lesson with an infrared pen; and
• P9 WX36N, a standard-throw projector that can create interactive areas of up to 110 inches.

Boxlight also introduced four ultra-high definition ProColor IFP displays that offer 4K resolution, as part of its ProColor Series 1 that launched last November. The displays are designed for collaborative classroom environments, with 360-degree touch interactivity and up to 20 single-touch-points (on Mac or Linux systems) or 10 dual-touch-points for gestures (on Windows). They have built-in stereo speakers, eliminating the need for a separate audio system. The new ProColor IFP displays come in 65-inch, 70-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch models.

Last year, Boxlight acquired Mimio, a manufacturer of interactive projectors. All of the newly launched products come with MimioStudio classroom software and are compatible with the MimioMobile collaboration application.
