$1.5 Million in Grants to Support Teaching with Primary Sources
The Library of Congress is awarding up to $500,000 per grant to organizations developing instructional materials for K–12 focused on using primary sources.

The program, Teaching with Primary Sources, will award an unspecified number of grants totaling $1.5 million. The maximum grant will be $500,000. There is no minimum award.

The program is seeking applications from public and private organizations, including institutions of education and libraries, for any of the following types of teaching resources that "enhance teachers' ability to integrate digitized primary sources from the Library of Congress into inquiry-based instruction that builds student literacy, critical thinking skills, content knowledge and ability to conduct original research":
- • Apps;
- • Online interactive materials;
- • Curriculum;
- • Other types of instructional materials.
