  • How Schools Can Score High on Their ESSA Financial Report Cards

    One of the developments to ESSA’s new list of benchmarks requires schools to deliver financial reports that break out funding at the school-level — a task that was previously reported at the district-level. By December 31, 2019, each individual school must present their fiscal year budgets through an online report card. That end of year deadline will be here before you know it.

  • OER Commons Launches Authoring Tool

    OER Commons, an organization focused on creating open educational resources for education, has developed a new tool for authoring OER.

  • SC District Upgrades to Newer Boxlight Interactive Flat Panels

    The initial implementation will cover 150 ProColor displays, with the expectation of installing about 500 displays throughout the district over the next year. The installation work is being handled by Howard Technology Solutions, chosen through a bid process.

  • NJ Students Show Off Girls Who Code Projects

    A college in New Jersey hosted 300-plus girls this week for an inaugural coding challenge. The New Jersey Institute of Technology invited in middle and high schoolers from 25 schools to participate in a first-ever coding-based competition. All are part of after-school "Girls Who Code" clubs.
