A small school district in the Chicago, IL area, Cass District 63, has turned to New Dimension Media's CCC! streaming media to provide resources for its students. MoreGlogster is adding new editions of its educational platform, Glogster EDU, starting in mid-September. Glogster EDU is an online service that lets students create "Glogs"--online multimedia posters that use text, photos, music, and video. They can be used for book reports, class projects, homework, and presentations on any subject. MoreEdmodo has updated its free classroom communication system. The system, referred to as a "social learning network" by the company that develops it, has added quizzes, badges, and revisions to its student profile page, among other new features. MoreHitachi America has rolled out three new LCD-based projectors for classrooms. The new CP-WX3014WN, CP-X3014WN, and CP-X4014WN offer high light output and high contrast ratio for sub-optimal lighting conditions. They also offer networking capabilities. MoreA newly launched site, designed to serve as an interactive educational tool with a science focus, will feature free lesson plan, videos, and activities aligned to national education standards.
