Grant & Funding News
Special education services and compliance software provider Amplio Learning has opened applications for its new Speech-Language Innovation Grant program, which will award over $500,000 in services to 15 K–12 school districts’ special education programs, according to a news release.
MoreDay of AI is an initiative MIT RAISE (Responsible AI for Social Empowerment and Education) developed and teamed up with i2Learning to teach K–12 students at every level what AI is, what it can do, how to use it responsibly, and what career options are available. Each grade-level appropriate curriculum contains about four hours of 30- to 60-minute lessons and activities. MoreAutodesk has released a new feature for Tinkercad, the company's free, web-based 3D design app for use in classrooms. Called Sim Lab, the new tool allows students to "apply STEM principles and experiment with their 3D designs in a simulated space — similar to a video game. Students can simulate the effects of gravity on their design, add materials (like rubber, wood, plastic) to an object, and even build simple machines. Sim Lab draws inspiration from children's favorite video games, like Minecraft and Roblox, bringing the excitement of gaming into the design experience." MoreIn most K-12 districts, outdated spreadsheets and manual processes define the financial management toolset. That’s increasingly problematic these days, when an influx of federal funding
has elevated the level of public scrutiny. More
