Video for Grades 6-9 Introduces Careers

A video and print curriculum for grades 6-9, Work in the 21st Century exposes students to different aspects of career exploration as well as to potential employment opportunities in a community. The curriculum is designed to coordinate with a school's School-to-Work program. It includes applications for math, language arts, social studies, technical education and other subjects. Some additional resources provided are teacher and resource guides, reproducible master sheets for student activities and portfolios, and suggested Internet activities. Development was funded in part by the Michigan Information Technology Network (MITN), a non-profit corporation whose mission is to improve access to education through distance learning.
