Elements of Literature

Elements of Literature by Holt, Rinehart and Winston (www.hrw.com) is a computer-based program for middle and high school students that automates the traditional book-based process of studying literature. The program is skills-based and aligned with state and national standards. Elements of Literature also uses a focused, sequential-skills approach to teach literary and informational reading and writing proficiencies. Features of the program include extensive audio support for reading, guided review questions, point-of-view vocabulary support in English and Spanish, an electronic notebook for storing student work, as well as highlighting and annotating tools.
