iPad App Helps Students with ADHD Stay on Task

A new iPad app feature designed to help students with ADHD combat forgetfulness and procrastination is in development.

"What's Up" is the newest feature to be added to Memory on Demand's Focus GPS software. The updated iPad app, currently in testing with children and adults with ADHD, will allow students to transfer items from their action list to a private Facebook page. Only the student and individuals designated by the student, the student's parents, and the student's learning assistants can access the Facebook page.

Focus GPS uses memory-by-association and multiple pair comparison tools to walk users through complex thought processes. The tools were designed to help users learn how to organize unrelated complex thoughts and better manage changing priorities and tasks, areas where ADHDers typically struggle.

The company has plans to release an Android version of Focus GPS later this year.
