DreamBox Learning and edWeb.net Launch Blended Learning Community for Math Educators

DreamBox Learning and edWeb.net have partnered to launch a new online professional learning community (PLC), Blended Learning, which is intended to support educators who are exploring and implementing blended learning models for elementary math.

Blended Learning is a community within the edWeb.net professional social and learning network for educators. According to the company, it provides a collaborative forum for administrators, math coaches, curriculum coordinators, and math teachers.

"Blended learning is an area of great interest to our online professional learning community and we're thrilled to provide such high caliber experts to educators to improve their knowledge and help them implement best practices in classrooms," said Lisa Schmucki, founder and CEO of edWeb.net, in a prepared statement.

DreamBox Learning, provider of an adaptive learning math program, hosts the free monthly Blended Learning webinar series, offers a dedicated blog, and provides educators with access to resources and tools leading to a continued education (CE) certificate. The next Blended Learning webinar, "Introduction to Blended Learning for Elementary Schools," will take place on February 27 at 3:00 pm EST and will be presented by Jeff Piontek, author and president of Educational Consulting Services. Piontek will present "the keys to implementing successful blended learning models that leverage the powerful combination of real-time and online interaction to improve math teaching and student learning."

DreamBox Learning and edWeb.net invite all administrators and math educators to join the free Blended Learning community on edWeb.net.

Further information about the Blended Learning community can be found at edweb.net/blendedlearning.
