Edmentum Revs Adult Ed Courseware with New Search, Modularization

Online learning program provider Edmentum is making it easier to search its 100 units in reading, writing, and math to prepare adult learners for college or career. The update to Edmentum Higher Ed courseware, which includes content modularization, is available now.

Edmentum Higher Ed provides online diagnostic and formative assessments, personalized instruction, and curriculum to help adult learners improve performance in targeted subject areas. It also provides supplemental content and college-level courses, which include pre-tests. Edmentum partners with Northstar Workforce Readiness to provide preparation programs for Allied Health, Praxis, and GED exams.

The Edmentum Higher Ed update includes the ability to search by subject or instructional objective, which lets teachers or professors customize "mini" courses based on areas in need of improvement. Colleges, support centers and vocational schools could use Edmentum Higher Ed to assess students' mastery of specific subjects and target areas in need of improvement.

In related news, Edmentum is giving away three Chromebooks in celebration of National Teacher Appreciation Week. Registration at edmentum.com/Teachers.html.

"You are educating the leaders of tomorrow, and you give so much to your students. That's why we here at Edmentum want to give something back to you and thank you for all you do," the Web site reads.
